“Double Your Impact – Donate During Small Charity Week!”
Worcester-based children’s cancer charity the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is taking part in Big Give’s inaugural Small Charity Week campaign from 23rd – 30th June, when funders match the public’s donations to a number of selected charities via Big Give’s platform and therefore double their donation and impact.
All donations made between 23rd–30th June will be matched £1 for £1, thanks to Global’s Make Some Noise, and The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). Hosting the campaign on its platform is Big Give, the UK’s largest match funding charity, and the seven-day online campaign will boost over 190 small charities across the UK. All donations will be doubled while match funds last and up to The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust’s target of £20,000. In essence, every pound donated goes twice as far to help support children and their families affected by childhood cancer.
The Big Give Small Charity Week’s match funding campaign offers small charities across the UK a much-needed platform to not only multiply the public’s generosity, but also amplify their impact, strengthen their voice and unlock essential support. Small charities are the heartbeat of our communities, providing vital services, local expertise, and targeted support where it’s needed most. But now, more than ever, they need your support.
All donations raised from Small Charity Week will fund the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust’s much-needed service, to ensure that no family faces childhood cancer alone and that one day, no child will lose their life to cancer. Because the children of today all deserve a tomorrow.
What could donations to the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust go towards?
£5 could fund the printing and insertion of 150 signs and symptoms awareness cards into the infant red book
£10 could fund craft materials for Family Support Workers to use with a child needing emotional support
£20 could fund the printing and dispersion of 20 information booklets explaining to children what is happening to them
£75 could fund a 1:1 emotions session for a child with a Family Support Worker at home
£80 could fund a stem cell support pack to be given to a child before a long hospital stay or bone marrow transplant
£100 could fund a new diagnosis support pack to be ready and waiting for a family when a child has been diagnosed with cancer

Small charities such as ours not only focus on specialist causes that need the attention, but also complement the work of larger organisations, filling crucial gaps and delivering targeted, life-changing support.
The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust provides practical and emotional support to dozens of families in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire when their child is diagnosed with cancer. Donations from the Big Give campaign will go towards families facing tremendous challenges – we want to continue being there when our families need it most.
