The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust receives no statutory funding so wholly relies on the community for support. Thank you for thinking about fundraising for us, we truly appreciate your support and would love to have you on board!

From event inspiration to fundraising resources, we’ve got everything you need.

Whether you want to host a cake sale, have a dress down at school, organise a walk near you, jump out of a plane or anything in between. We’ve got everything you need and ideas to suit everyone!

Get started with us and Enthuse

Creating a fundraising page on Enthuse is a great way to share your event, encourage donations from supporters and keep everyone informed about your progress. Whether you’re fundraising as an individual, team or company, we can help you get started.

An Enthuse fundraising page is one of the best ways to share your story and connect with supporters. By adding photos, videos and setting a fundraising target, you’ll hopefully inspire more donations too.

Tell the media about your event

Be your own publicist – 6 steps to achieving local media coverage

Approaching your local media with a story about your fundraising event or challenge is a great way to spread the word about the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust – and you might even get some donations or attract more people to your event.

Here’s our advice on how to go about it:

1. Create a press release with all the key details a journalist will need to cover your story.

In short, a press release is written information that you can email to your local media to get them interested in covering your story.

Don’t worry! You don’t have to be an amazing writer. If you need any support then please contact us at fundraising@gkcct.org or phone on 01905 885777 we are here to help and support as much as we can.

2. After your event: celebrate your success!

You’ll also need to find or take a good quality digital photo to send with your press release. This will dramatically increase the chances of your local newspaper covering your story.

3. Find the details of your local media

You can find out the telephone number for your local newspaper and radio stations online. Go to their website and have a look.

4. Give them a call and ask to speak to the ‘news desk’

Tell them that you are a local person doing some fundraising for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancr Trust and think they might be interested in your story – briefly run through the key details.

5. Tell them that you have a press release and photo you can send them.

If it’s a radio station (and you would be happy to!) say that you are available for interview too. Make a note of the email address they ask you to send your press release and photo to, and then pop it over to them to have a look at.

6. Done!

If they're interested, they’ll cover your story – so there’s no need to call or email them the details again. Although they might get back in touch with you to check a detail, or to arrange an interview or professional photo. Make sure you respond quickly if they do (the same day if possible) or they might lose interest and decide not to cover your story after all.

If you’ve used an online fundraising platform such as a Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust fundraising page or Just Giving, the money is sent directly to us so you don’t need to do anything.

To pay in your fundraising via cheque please ensure it is made payable to ‘Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust. Please include a cover letter, sponsorship forms and gift aid form if applicable.

All cheques must be sent to our office: Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, The Piggery, Cowsden Hall Farm, Upton Snodsbury, WR7 4NZ.

Please don’t send cash directly through the post. If you want to send us any cash donations you’ve received, please pay them into your bank account and then send us a cheque or pay online or by phone.
