Take on the Northern Lights Winter Trek for Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust
The Northern Lights Winter Trek is an incredible, memorable long-weekend adventure through Iceland’s peaceful, snow-covered landscapes. Over several days you’ll walk through wide open valleys, past volcanic scenery and along frozen lake shores, with the chance of seeing the Aurora Borealis lighting up the night sky along the way.
The trekking is steady and challenging in places, but incredibly rewarding, with a supportive group beside you from the moment you arrive. Together you’ll explore some of Iceland’s most striking winter scenery, before rounding off the challenge with time to enjoy the bright lights of Reykjavik.
Whether you’re travelling solo or sharing the experience with friends, this is a meaningful winter escape — and every mile you trek helps us support families facing childhood cancer across Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.

How fundraising works
There are two ways to take part in this memorable challenge. Both options are clearly structured and fully supported, so you can choose the approach that works best for you.
Option One— Minimum Sponsorship (Charity Place)
This is the most popular option and the most affordable way to join the trek.
Registration Fee: £299
Minimum Sponsorship: £3,590
How it works:
- Pay your £299 registration fee.
- Commit to raising £3,590 for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.
- Your charity must receive 80% of your sponsorship before the deadline so they can cover the remaining challenge balance.
- The final 20% is due after your return.
This option is perfect if you want to take part with a low upfront cost while raising vital funds for families who need support.
Option Two — Self-Funding
If you’d prefer to cover the challenge costs yourself, this option offers complete flexibility.
Registration Fee: £299
Self-Funding Balance: £1,795
There’s no minimum fundraising requirement, but any amount you choose to raise will make a meaningful difference to families navigating childhood cancer — and we’ll be here with ideas and encouragement if you’d like to fundraise too.
