The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, like so many charities across the UK, has been hugely impacted by the cancellation of thousands of fundraising events due to COVID-19 and we would love to have your help.

In response to the current crisis that charities are facing, the organisers of the biggest mass participation sports events across the country have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help our fundraising and save the UK’s charities. The campaign, The 2.6 Challenge, will launch on Sunday 26 April 2020 – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon and the challenge will last for a week.

Whether you're running a superhero dash round your garden for 2.6 miles, walking around the balcony for 2.6 miles, doing 26 press ups with the dog on your back, reciting 26 lines of a poem or staying silent for 26 minutes, we would love your help!

How do I get involved?

No need to be a marathon runner to take part – this is a challenge for all ages and abilities. Just get thinking of an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 and complete it on or from Sunday April 26.

It could be something as simple as running 2.6 miles, 26 minutes of yoga, or juggling for 26 minutes - or on second thoughts, maybe just 2.6 minutes! Check out this guide for more ideas and inspiration.

What if I am in Self- Isolation?

Don’t worry if you’re not able to get out your house or flat for now. We’re not looking for superheroes - we’re looking for Home Heroes.

Please take a look at some of our oncology home heroes who represent the very families that the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is working to support. All these photos are of children who have received a cancer diagnosis and have asked to be involved in this incredible challenge.

What are the Rules?

There are no rules (apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time).

Whatever you can do, you can be part of it – the main thing is getting active, having fun and donating whatever you can help support the GKCCT.

You could make a donation to take part or alternatively set up a fundraising page, what ever makes you feel most comfortable.
