For most people, the festivities and build up to Christmas are a wonderful time of year. However, for bereaved parents, Christmas can be an especially difficult time.

If you know a bereaved parent, this image can give you some ideas of things that you can do to help.

Simply mentioning their child is one of the most important things that you can do

If you want to send them a present but nothing seems right, why not send them a beautiful ornament in their child's memory. For a bereaved parent, often knowing their child has been remembered is the greatest gift of all.

If you are spending Christmas Day with bereaved parents, don't forget to ask if there are any special traditions they like to do for their child or how they would like them included. Some will feel able to celebrate whilst others (especially the recently bereaved) may not.

Above all, be kind, understanding and remember to mention their child.
